The British Invasion was an important historical change because in 1964 Rock N Roll vocalists were mostly coming from America. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison came together to form The Beatles in 1957.They came from Liverpool, England.They were influenced by some American artists such as Elvis Presley.

Mark David Chapman murdered John Lennon on December 8, 1980. After he died new music was released under the orginal band name. The remaining Beatles played over songs that John had left on tape. They spent months filming and recording for the song "Let it Be." It was supposed to be about how they all worked together as a group but ended up as a film about how they all fell apart.
Today The Beatles continue to influence many musicians, artists,and groups. Aswell as attracting a new generation of fans.
